DirectionsBryanston is located approximately 24 miles south-west of Salisbury and 14 miles north-west of Poole, just outside the Georgian market town of Blandford in Dorset. Please try to avoid Blandford town centre. It is very busy, and has a one-way system so it is very easy to get lost!
From Shaftesbury on the A350 Just after Stourpaine, turn right at the traffic lights. Go over the bridge. Take the first road on the left, just as you enter Durweston village, following the sign (on the right-hand side of the road) to Bryanston School. Then take the first road on the left, again signposted Bryanston School. Pass Durweston Village Hall on your left, and the lane to Knighton House School on your right. This narrow road then enters Bryanston School grounds. Follow the signs to the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. From Salisbury on the A354 After Pimperne, you will come to a roundabout. Turn left onto the Blandford bypass. Go straight on at the next roundabout (junction with B3082), and turn right at the following one (junction with A350), following signs for the Brewery Visitor Centre! Go over the mini-roundabout, then past the Brewery Visitor Centre on your right. At the next mini-roundabout you will see the gate to Bryanston straight ahead of you. Go up the drive, which is two miles long, following signs for the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. From Poole (or the Wimborne bypass) on the A350 After Charlton Marshall you will eventually come to a roundabout (junction with A354). Go straight on, following signs for the Brewery Visitor Centre! Go over the mini-roundabout, then past the Brewery Visitor Centre on your right. At the next mini-roundabout you will see the gate to Bryanston straight ahead of you. Go up the drive, which is two miles long, following signs for the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. From Wimborne town centre on the B3082 After Tarrant Keyneston you will eventually come to a roundabout. Turn left onto the Blandford bypass. Turn right at the next roundabout (junction with A350), following signs for the Brewery Visitor Centre! Go over the mini-roundabout, then past the Brewery Visitor Centre on your right. At the next mini-roundabout you will see the gate to Bryanston straight ahead of you. Go up the drive, which is two miles long, following signs for the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. From Dorchester on the A354 After Thornicombe you will eventually come to a roundabout (junction with A350). Turn left, following signs for the Brewery Visitor Centre! Go over the mini-roundabout, then past the Brewery Visitor Centre on your right. At the next mini-roundabout you will see the gate to Bryanston straight ahead of you. Go up the drive, which is two miles long, following signs for the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. From Sturminster Newton on the A357 After Shillingstone, you will enter Durweston village. Look for a signpost on the left-handside of the road, pointing right to Bryanston School. (It is a small road, just after a long redbrick building.) Then take the first road on the left, again signposted Bryanston School. Pass Durweston Village Hall on your left, and the lane to Knighton House School on your right. This narrow road then enters Bryanston School grounds. Follow the signs to the main school. Parking is directly in front of the building. Approximate journey times By road: London 2 hours 50 minutes; Oxford 2 hours; Bristol 1 hour 30 minutes; Chichester 1 hour 40 minutes; Salisbury 45 minutes; Poole 30 minutes. By rail: London - Salisbury 1 hour 20 minutes; London - Poole 2 hours. Airports: London Gatwick 2 hours 30 minutes; London Heathrow 2 hours 15 minutes; Southampton 1 hour 10 minutes; Bournemouth 45 minutes. |
